The first session of the Türkiye–Southeast Asia Scholarly Dialogue Series was held on August 5 between ASBU ASEAN Center and the University of the Philippines Asia Center. During the session, both centers and their scholars introduced themselves and their research areas, followed by a series of presentations.

The meeting explored opportunities for academic collaboration, noting that scholars working on similar topics could pursue joint work in the future. Opportunities for cooperation between ASBÜ and the University of the Philippines were discussed, and the possibility of a general Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the two centers/universities was considered.

The discussion focused particularly on long-term collaboration opportunities, aiming to further strengthen cooperation between students and academics at both institutions through seminars, webinars, exchange programs for students and researchers, and joint classes.
