The Ankara Social Sciences University (ASBÜ) Center for ASEAN Studies hosted a high-level delegation in line with its mission to strengthen diplomatic and academic cooperation.

​His Excellency Adlan Mohd Shaffieq, Ambassador of Malaysia to Türkiye, and First Secretary of the Embassy of Malaysia Ms. Siti Hasnaa Shaharun paid an official visit to our center.

​Hosted by our center with the participation of the director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hatice Çelik, the deputy directors Dr. Yusuf Avcı and Dr. Vuslat Nur Şahin Temel, the high-level meeting addressed strategic issues aimed at enhancing ties between Türkiye and Southeast Asia. The visit provided an opportunity for fruitful discussions on Türkiye–Malaysia relations, regional developments in Southeast Asia, and potential avenues for academic collaboration through ASEAN Studies at ASBU.
