On August 13, ​ Social Sciences University of Ankara (ASBÜ) ASEAN Center hosted Kaan Esener, Ambassador-Designate of Türkiye to the Republic of the Philippines, in line with its mission to strengthen diplomatic and academic cooperation.

During his official visit to the ASEAN Center, Ambassador Kaan Esener met with Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hatice Çelik, Deputy Directors Dr. Yusuf Avcı, Dr. Vuslat Nur Şahin Temel and Department Head of American Studies Dr. Barın Kayaoğlu.

The meeting addressed topics related to advancing diplomatic relations between Türkiye and ASEAN member states, as well as expanding opportunities for academic cooperation. In the context of Ambassador Esener's upcoming post in the Philippines, it was emphasized that the Center's regional work and academic expertise could contribute to relations between the two countries.
