Our Center and our approach to quality

The Ankara Social Sciences University ASEAN Application and Research Center was established to contribute to the development and strengthening of Türkiye's relations with the ASEAN region through academic and applied research on ASEAN. The Center is active in academic research, the organisation of seminars, conferences and workshops, and cooperation and joint project development with national and international institutions.

In all its activities, the Center adopts the following principles:

• Transparency: Our activities, reports and governance structure are shared with the public.
• Accountability: Duties and responsibilities are clearly defined.
• Continuous improvement: Feedback is evaluated and taken into account when planning the next cycle of activities.
• Stakeholder orientation: We value the views of our national and international partners and our Advisory Board.

Research and event quality

Projects, publications, seminars, conferences and visit programmes carried out at the Center are recorded and reported on a regular basis. Feedback is collected from participants after events, and the findings are taken into account by the Executive Board when it reviews the annual activity report and work programme.

Governance and internal control

The Center's governing bodies are the Director, the Executive Board and the Advisory Board. Their duties and powers are set out in the Center's Regulation. Quality and internal control processes are carried out in line with the relevant University regulations.
